Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 219 – 7/23/2017

today’s edition of the astonishing light of being features none other than you on this powerful new moon day, this day of setting intentions in alignment with Great Mystery and the unconditional love that is our true nature…

may we all begin each day released from the constriction of our protective self and dwell expansively in the liberation of our essence…

thank you, thank you, thank you each and everyone for mirroring love and presence in the moment, each and every beautiful moment…

can you hear the chords of Alleluia flowing in the background and foreground as one by one we awaken to the astonishing lightness of being?

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 218 – 7/22/2017

doo doo doo doo… welcome to the twilight zone…  we’re three hours away from the first new moon in leo ushering in a wild lunar ride including a full moon lunar eclipse in two weeks on August 7, the 30th anniversary of the Harmonic Convergence on August 17 and the stellar second new moon and once in a lifetime soular eclipse on August 21st… what a moon (month) to reclaim our heart’s power to transform everything to love…

in honor of this new moon, this new cycle, i’m proclaiming the coming week as Happy Turn Around the Sun Re-Creation ManiFestival Week and will spend many moments in Sit – Stay – Heel pose breathing into the core, the stillpoint to ask the body and breathe the answers locked in the cells like lost chords…

What are you wanting to bring into manifestation in your life?
What is your greatest desire/inspiration/vision?
What is the obstacle to your desire manifesting or inspiration/vision materializing needing to transform into invitation?
What are you willing to let go of to open up to your destiny more?

the flow of impermanence can be daunting for our protective selves who want to keep us safe…

thanks be that in our core in this moment with this breath we are able to tune into our essence… boundless love…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 217 – 7/21/2017

A flower unfolds to the best of its ability due to the conditions around it. And so do you – you unfold to the best of your ability – Kuan Yin

~

she who hears the cries of the world,

who softens her heart turning towards pain

who affirms life and lives in love

opens the path of transformation and liberation…

~

Kuan Yin, the embodiment of compassion, is said to manifest wherever beings need help – ah, so this elucidates why i’m seeing her everywhere as we all live the eternal questions…

How can we respond to the suffering that is woven into the very fabric of life? How can we discover a heart that is truly liberated from fear, anger, and alienation? Is there a way to discover a depth of wisdom and compassion that can genuinely make a difference in this confused and destructive world?

in one of the early Buddhist stories, the ascetic Sumedha reflects on the vast inner journey required to discover unshakeable wisdom and compassion which he describes as a tapestry woven of many threads: generosity, virtue, renunciation, wisdom, energy, patience, truthfulness, determination, loving-kindness, and equanimity… when we embody all of these, we develop the  compassion that has the power to heal suffering…

may we all dive deeply and nurture the courage to be compassion…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 216 – 7/20/2017

only traveling on the path with heart, what a way to live

looking, looking breathlessly, living from the heart

in a field of unity grounded in equanimity…

~

drawing down the energy of the almost new moon, are you feeling her call to authenticity, being the true self, living from the heart? when we listen deeply, we can here pachamama whispering the song of the earth… come home to the heart, return to me and live in a sacred way in harmony… her invitation is to sync deeply into love, the highest vibrational frequency of the cosmos… travel into the here and now, the dwelling place of boundless love where nothing else is happening, only love is real… buen camino!

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 215 – 7/19/2017

for so many days, for all days, living from the heart is being whispered through me, prayed through me, opening being, transmuting into light… now, i am carried away on the wings of sea eagle to fly next to great spirit in ever widening circles of love… come, soar, return home to the heart…

Eagle Poem

To pray you open your whole self
To sky, to earth, to sun, to moon
To one whole voice that is you.
And know there is more
That you can’t see, can’t hear
Can’t know except in moments
Steadily growing, and in languages
That aren’t always sound but other
Circles of motion.
Like eagle that Sunday morning
Over Salt River. Circles in blue sky
In wind, swept our hearts clean
With sacred wings.
We see you, see ourselves and know
That we must take the utmost care
And kindness in all things.
Breathe in, knowing we are made of
All this, and breathe, knowing
We are truly blessed because we
Were born, and die soon, within a
True circle of motion,
Like eagle rounding out the morning
Inside us.
We pray that it will be done
In beauty.
In beauty.

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 214 – 7/18/2017

in a field of love may we walk
all day long may we walk
through the turnings may
we walk
on the trail of pollen
may we walk
with love in our one heart may we walk
with  love before us may we walk
with love behind us may we walk
with love above us may we walk
with love all around us may we
walk
in any age, wandering on a trail of
love, lively, may we walk
in any age, wandering on a trail of
love, living again, may we walk
it is beginning in love
it is deepening in love

it is always being love

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 213 – 7/17/2017

on today’s pilgrimage of peace, i join hands and come together with my beautiful sangha family and with all our relations across our earth mother as we breathe through our one heart down into the center of all being, breathing in the deep peace that passeth all understanding and holds the center, sacred space of dreaming and creating, in the rhythm of the waves of radiant light re-membering and constellating the words of our brother john… may we all dream peace into reality…  blessed be…

“Imagine”

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today… Aha-ah…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace… You…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world… You…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 212 – 7/16/2017

ah, the confluence of being in a gathering of beings as openhearted as a grove of abundant guesthouse trees and today being the day for sharing an image showing you the astonishing light of your being leads naturally to this amazing picture… yes, may we all be as openhearted as the standing talls rooted in earth’s stillpoint while reaching out to the heavens, allowing birds to perch and fly away without judgment… when our hearts are like this, we are living the openhearted way, practicing bodhichitta…

the best way to begin a practice of boddhichitta is by thinking of a person whose suffering you feel strongly and whose happiness is very important to you… it could be someone you know or have known, or someone you’ve seen on the street or read about in the newspaper… thinking of certain people naturally and easily awakens bodhicitta in us: we care about them and we don’t want them to suffer… think of such a person and, whether you feel love, gratitude or compassion for them, say, “may they be free of suffering and the root of suffering; may they enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.”

now, think of an area of the world that’s in great turmoil—an area where you know people and animals are suffering a lot… when you’ve chosen the place, think of the men there, and say, “may all the men in that place be free of suffering and the root of suffering; may they enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.” give yourself time… take a few minutes…

next, think of all the women in that place, and wish that they too could be free of suffering and the root of suffering, and that they could enjoy happiness and the root of happiness…

then, think of all of the children in that place and wish that they be free of suffering and the root of suffering, and that they might enjoy happiness and the root of happiness.

finally, think of all the animals in that place—the mammals, the birds, the fish, the insects and all the other animals—and wish that they be free of suffering and the root of suffering; that they might enjoy happiness and the root of happiness…

namaste, beloveds…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 211 – 7/15/2017

we are a pilgrim people, a journeying peace corps, with a deep abiding peace solid in our core, peace built with poetic justice guided by love, a love more powerful than any other force, a love that flows directly from source… so, let us come together, pilgrims of peace, to create beloved community, by opening our heart ever wider and being love with every breath, creating a world where all our relations experience heaven on earth, with every being in the circle of love, flowing in rhythm like the angels above, dancing arm in arm under our central sun, singing the truth that we are one in love…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 210 – 7/14/2017

holy synchronicity! this decades long commitment to the teacher of love has been reverberating emphatically the last few days and so, of course, I find myself sitting in circle, in sangha today with an amazing group of teachers of love, practitioners of the awakened heart, cultivators of bodhichitta or unconditional friendliness with oneself…

magically transported back to undergraduate days of the late sixties and early seventies with day after day of movable feasts of consciousness and the standout peak experience of nirvana when it’s all so crystal clear- throw out the books, teach only of love…

and, here we are now in the great turning, a pivotal moment on the clock of the world of shifting consciousness and e-membering who we really are… a field of unitive consciousness supported by the overflowing abundance of source… the rising tide that lifts all sails and invites our seeing through wide open eyes of wisdom… that every experience, every moment is a teacher of love…
