Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 252 – 8/25/2017

Happy 101 Years!

“Let children walk with Nature, let them see the beautiful blendings and communions of death and life, their joyous inseparable unity, as taught in woods and meadows, plains and mountains and streams of our blessed star, and they will learn that death is stingless indeed, and as beautiful as life.”

~ John Muir ~

to celebrate 101 years of the national parks in the USA, it seems ever so fitting to have the father and poet laureate of these temples weigh in  on a beautiful way to pilgrimage into peace, for, by exploring the great outdoors, we spiral indoors into our own true nature and simultaneously see the beauty all around…

i’m celebrating today with an inner pilgrimage back to one of my favorite parks (how i’d love to visit all 59!) and re-membering the first sighting, the falling in love, the feeling of coming home to a place that lives always in me… and hearing the sound of flowing water wherever i am in this garden home with beauty abounding from wherever one stands in this expansive space and stories pouring forth from the ancestors going back to the great silence and into the beyond… gratitude flows spontaneously for the waterfalls and bird songs and wind… for all the four leggeds calling this true refuge home and the sun and moon and stars and the sky that goes on forever and ever like great mystery, our eternal home…

may we all keep close to true nature within and without, above and below… sacred space of illumination, place of our one heart’s radiant glow…

enjoy, in joy, a walk in the wilds…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 251 – 8/24/2017

Loving activism is not just sitting back and saying, “Oh it’s great, just
ruin me or kill me.” Loving activism can be quite harsh in some cases,
in actual action like getting arresting, or bluntly saying, “You’re crazy,”
or, “You’re wrong.” Something with force, but more like the force of a
martial artist. Like good old Grasshopper [from the TV series “Kung
Fu”], he would throw the cowboy out the window with a smile on his
face in a relaxed manner.
So that’s loving activism where, even though you’re opposing this
policeman or this person and you’re in front of them, you are not
thinking that they automatically have to be evil. You are seeing the
opponent not as an object of hatred, but as an object of concern – you
want them to be better off, and you feel to oppose them is helping
them getting better off in a particular case.
The Pussy Hat thing, those marches were happy occasions. And this is
the key, I think. Try to find the sources of happiness within yourself
and around you, and then help the people who are unhappy, and
therefore causing evil. You may have to share that happiness with
someone who’s about to do some terrible thing, to help stop them from
doing it. You may even have to be forceful sometimes, like a mother
will be forceful with a child who’s hurting itself or going to hurt
something else in some careless way. But they don’t hate the child.
They just love the child. But you can have fierce love. You can have
fierce compassion.

~ Robert Thurman ~

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 250 – 8/23/2017

dear co-hearts of our one heart,

on this second day of the re-setting of the old world of discordance into the new world of harmony, i share this heartfelt message fra angelico said to his co-hearts half a millennium ago, it expresses what i want to say today and everyday…

“I salute you. I am your friend, and my love for you goes deep.

There is nothing I can give you which you have not already, but there is much, very much, which though I cannot give it, you can take.

No heaven can come to us unless our hearts find rest in today.

Take heaven.

No peace lies in the future which is not hidden in this precious little instant.

Take peace.

The gloom of the world is but a shadow. Behind it, yet within our reach is joy. There is radiance and courage in the darkness could we but see; and to see, we have only to look.

Life is so generous a giver, but we, judging its gifts by their coverings, cast them away as ugly or heavy or hard. Remove the covering, and you will find beneath it a living splendor, woven of love, and wisdom, and power. Welcome it, greet it, and you touch the angel’s hand that brings it.

Everything we call a trial, a sorrow, a duty, believe me, that angel’s hand is there, the gift is there, and the wonder of an overshadowing Presence.

Our joys, too, be not content with them as joys. They, too, conceal diviner gifts.

Life is so full of meaning and purpose, so full of beauty beneath its covering, that you will find earth but cloaks your heaven.

Courage, then, to claim it, that is all! But courage you have, and the knowledge that we are pilgrims wending through unknown country our way home.

~

Take Heaven! Take Peace! Take Joy! Take Love! Take Wisdom! Take Courage!

We Are The Eternal Radiance

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 249 – 8/22/2017

Welcome Home!

relatives, we are lovingly invited

to spend this moment, this beautiful moment

at home with Beloved…

simply being presence

of essence…

come as you are, your radiant Self,

for this moment of

wonder, awe, bliss, compassion, flow, grace, joy, kindness

to drink in the gamma rays flooding the cosmos with a divine transfusion of transfiguring love…

~

in the wake of the great reset following the total eclipse of the sun,

a dream arises of being in a field where the Beloved Communion dwells and hearing that our mission is to sing…

are you hearing beloved singing you? listen a little deeper for the cosmic hum as you suspend noise and distraction in this moment, this beautiful moment… are you hearing the whispers of the ancestors flowing through our oceanic body? ah yes, let’s pause here in the stillpoint and align with the rhythm of our one heart…

may earth’s song reach into our deepest and wildest sacred spaces… may we hear the melodic voices of all our relations… may our inhalations inspire re-joy-sing and our exhalations re-sound and re-verberate harmony throughout the watery womb of our one heart…

may we sing wherever we are, a song of compassion blessing pachamama, the spirit of land, the spirit of life, the one spirit encircling us all…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 248 – 8/21/2017

It’s A Dog’s World…

indeed it is, jo is letting me, nia, aka ms radiance, write the post today… i’m just returning from my first overnight pilgrimage with the fam – what an adventure! we traveled to the land of the ufo festival to gather with a bunch of two leggeds to watch the total eclipse of the sun… the relatives of the human variety got all excited as the big ball of gas in the sky got more and more eclipsed by the moon… we all had to wear these special contraptions on our eyes, they tasted a lot better than they helped me see… my favorite part was licking the dew off the grass and bounding across the field like a jumping bean… the two leggeds loved it when for a split second everything went totally dark… howlelujah! they sounded like my ancestors, the woof clan, who teach that an eclipse on the new moon amplifies the new world’s birth… howlelujah!

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 247 – 8/20/2017

today, on this weekly celebration of the astonishing light of being, as we  make a pilgrimage to be in the path of totality for tomorrow’s historic soular eclipse during the second new moon in leo, it seems only fitting to celebrate the sun – outer, inner and central…

star at the center of the soular system

generator of a dynamic magnetic field

an almost perfect sphere in the heavens

yellow dwarf ball of glowing gases

heart of the cosmos,  holder of orbital space

truthsayer of  cosmic conspiracy always on our side

purveyor of astonishing light, making all life possible

thousandfold thanks for gifting us courage, the heart of love…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 246 – 8/19/2017

i love every summer celebrating the O-bon festival when we honor our ancestors’ journeys… i love this turn around the sun the gathering falls on harmonic convergence four days before the historical total soular eclipse beginning its path right here in Oregon arcing across the country from sea to shining sea… i love the ancestors being welcomed home and feted with joyful dance and song before these shining ones are placed as lanterns on the waters to travel back to the other shore…

i love this moment of reflecting on immortality and re-membering we are part of a vast sacred web of interconnection bridging visible with invisible realms…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 245 – 8/18/2017

for the past 781 days, i have gathered daily with another in a sacred communion to invoke lovingkindness blessings for all our relatives… each evening we join to offer ourselves, everything we are, to the all that is… we envision the whole cosmos joining us and experiencing our true reality of oneness and numinous love… i love also seeing us joining in this blessing prayed every morning by  the Dalai Lama…

May I be a guard for those who need protection

A guide for those on the path

A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood

May I be a lamp in the darkness

A resting place for the weary

A healing medicine for all who are sick

A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles

And for the boundless multitudes of living beings

May I bring sustenance and awakening

Enduring like the earth and sky

Until all beings are freed from sorrow

And all are awakened.

~

may we all imagine, may we all be the frequency of peace, love, joy, wisdom, harmony, justice and compassion…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 244 – 8/17/2017

today is the thirtieth anniversary of harmonic convergence and it feels just so… a day of grace, a day when the sun, in the form of holy grandmother spider creatrix, peeks through the clouds offering warm embraces and whispered words of wisdom to be still in this moment of wild abandon, to trust this moment of surrender, to re-member the sun always shines and when it shines on rain, being is transformed into iridescent rainbow arcs encircling the cosmos within and without converging, confluing in perfect harmony, in this moment, this beautiful moment of grace… may we all awaken to the beauty breathing us alive…

aloha and mahalo..

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 4 – Day 243 – 8/16/2017

on awakening, i re-member a dream of being in a field where the Beloved Communion dwells and hearing that our mission is to sing… as on so many awakenings, a melody sings me as i luxuriate in this liminal space with one sole in dreamtime and the other in awaketime…

are you hearing beloved singing you? listen a little deeper for the cosmic hum as you suspend noise and distraction in this moment, this beautiful moment… are you hearing the whispers of the ancestors flowing through our oceanic body? ah yes, let’s pause here in the stillpoint and align with the rhythm of our one heart…

may earth’s song reach into our deepest and wildest sacred spaces… may we hear the melodic voices of all our relations: stones, stars, streams, breezes, sand, sun, ocean, currents, plants, starfish, seas, planets, creatures, rivers, and winds… may our inhalations inspire re-joy-sing and our exhalations re-sound and re-verberate loingkindness and harmony throughout the watery womb of our one heart…

sing, sing, wherever you are, a song of compassion blessing pachamama, the spirit of land, the spirit of life, the one spirit encircling all in the great web of life intricately interconnecting all our relatives as one body with trillions and trillions of cells resonating as one vast field of love…
