Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 326 – 11/7/2019

looking around, we are filled with gratitude
looking above, we are filled with wisdom
looking below, we are filled with compassion
looking within, we are filled  with true nature
living as one  in peace and harmony
~
Song of Peace
We pray to the great Spiritual Power in which
we live and move and have our being.
We pray that we may at all times
keep our minds open to new ideas and shun dogma;
that we may grow in our understanding of the nature of all living beings
and our connectedness with the natural world;
that we may become ever more filled with
generosity of spirit and true compassion and love for all life;
that we may strive to heal the hurts that we have inflicted on nature
and control our greed for material things, knowing that
our actions are harming our natural world and the future of our children;
that we may value each and every human being
for who he is, for who she is,
reaching to the spirit that is within,
knowing the power of each individual to change the world.

may it be so…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 325 – 11/6/2019

today, i want to spotlight a ceremony, the rite of the womb, sacred space for creation and those who share and hold space for it…

this ceremony comes from a lineage of women going back to the beginning of time who freed themselves from suffering and want this liberation for us all…. we are all to re-member:

the womb is not a place to store fear and pain; the womb is to create and give birth to life…

all means all, this rite is for all for we are all connected to the cosmic womb, the deep earth of pachamama and we are all born of a mother’s womb and we all have an energetic womb, our creative center at the 0 point, the stillpoint of creation…

so many of us hold such pain and fear and terror and anger here which is why we re-member:

the womb is not a place to store fear and pain; the womb is to create and give birth to life…

we nurture this rite and life by saying…

we release our fear so we may embrace freedom
we release our pain so we may embrace joy
we release our anger so we may embrace compassion
we release our sadness so we may embrace peace

such a beautifully simple way for us all to lighten up, to shine, to deepen into luminosity…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 324 – 11/5/2019

with every step today, with every breath, i bow to the beauty of the one who stands with grace in the center of the wheel holding space in a sacred way… in this place, she sees more than she can say and understands more than she sees… as she rests in stillness, she listens to the wind and knows in her heart, in our one heart, that we are hear to offer loving service to all our relations for we are one – one breath, one body, one being, one becoming…
~
for the past fifteen hundred and ninety days, i have gathered with this extraordinary being of shining light in sacred communion to voice metta, lovingkindness blessings for all our relatives… each evening, we join at the threshold to offer ourselves and everything we are to the field out beyond… we envision the whole cosmos joining in and experiencing the true reality of oneness where we see all our relations as numinous love…
~
invoking this divine light of grace every day is one of the most transformative paths i have ever walked; sauntering along this rainbow trail of devotion daily teaches and shows me the way of saging gracefully…
~
on this very special day, the anniversary of your birth, i celebrate you with this blessing prayed every morning by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama, a blessing you walk each day…
~
May I be a guard for those who need protection
A guide for those on the path
A boat, a raft, a bridge for those who wish to cross the flood
May I be a lamp in the darkness
A resting place for the weary
A healing medicine for all who are sick
A vase of plenty, a tree of miracles
And for the boundless multitudes of living beings
May I bring sustenance and awakening
Enduring like the earth and sky
Until all beings are freed from sorrow
And all are awakened.
~
deep bows and boundless love, beloved flow-er of beauty and soul of the space wherever your soles are kissing the earth, our one heart eternally smiles as we walk the spirit path together until all our relations are free of suffering, all relatives are liberated…
~
always flowing in beauty and being the soul of the stillpoint space…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 323 – 11/4/2019

May you awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence. May you have joy and peace in the temple of your senses. May you receive great encouragement when new frontiers beckon. May you respond to the call of your gift and find courage to follow its path. May the flame of anger free you from falsity. May warmth of heart keep your presence aflame and anxiety never linger about you. May your outer dignity mirror an inner dignity of soul. May you take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention. May you be consoled in the secret symmetry of your soul. May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.
~  John O’Donohue ~

ah! landing in portalandia after an otherworldly journey into  a higher elevation encircled by mountain relatives holding vigil space in this portal of transition, of deep transformation bidding farewell to one cycle as we welcome another…
~

may i be filled with lovingkindness
may i be well
may i be peaceful and at ease
may i be happy
~

may you be filled with lovingkindness
may you be well
may you be peaceful and at ease
may you be happy
~
and, now! let us wrap all our relatives in this blessing…
may we be filled with lovingkindness

thank you for this moment of breathing together…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 322 – 11/3/2019

Give us courage and gaiety and the quiet mind. Spare to us our friends, soften to us our enemies. Bless us, if it may be, in all our innocent endeavors. If it may not, give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temperate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving one to another.
~ Robert Louis Stevenson ~
~
for this weekly installment showing you the astonishing lightness of your being, please re-member that you matter, that you can make a difference and we so need each other to be of courage, of strong heart when all over the planet, life is out of balance and we know we must change the dream we’ve been living… when we listen to the indigenous, the people of the land who listen to the all that is, we hear the clarion call to love our mother and each other… water, air, trees, sun, moon, stars, all our relatives, and we are all relatives, woven together intricately, inextricably, interconnectedly…
~
we can all feel we are at a tipping point, a sacred space with birth pangs so intense… the now! moment when we must band together, stand together in love, throw off the illusion of separation, re-member the reality that we are one…
~
yes, let us take courage and be of strong heart, awaken the dream of the world we all share and long to real-eyes… a world of peace built on justice and guided by love…
may we band together for this shared vision…
~
thank you for being the one of a kind person you were born to be  and shining your light so radiantly like a lighthouse illuminating the stormy sea so we can traverse the pathless path with equanimity coming home to our one heart to live forever free as a wanderer of wondrous rainbow mystery…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 321 – 11/2/2019

a poem comes to me, it comes circuitously… written as a rituwell celebrating cosmos creation, it seems perfect for this day following all souls day of honoring the ancestors and sending them back into the night sea to watch over us as we  emerge and see… sounding and re-sounding the words, we breathe in life, this now moment of interbeing and breathe out life, this now moment of interbeing in a seamless circle… birth to death to rebirth to death as one organic whole… join me in simply being, breathing, bowing, dancing and flowing in beauty as the soul of the space wherever we are in this wild and precious now! moment…

Ancestor Prayer

When you were born,
The earth became your body,
The stone became your bone,
The sea became your blood,
The sun became your eye,
The moon became your mind,
The wind became your breath.
When you passed to the Otherworld,
Your breath became the wind,
Your mind became the moon,
Your eye became the sun,
Your blood became the sea,
Your bone became the stone,
Your body became the earth.
When we were born, you did the same for us:
You called forth the earth and rocks;
The sea arose and the sun descended;
The moon shone down and the winds sang.
For those who come after, we shall do as you did for us
When we are gone, we shall do as you did before.
Ancestors, we honour you.

another delivery today for this now! moment, a blessingway for our ancient earth mother…
~
In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other:
“Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 320 – 11/1/2019

welcome, relatives, to this new moon (month) of namaste, nesting, numinous, now on steroids november… a moon, a month to take a long pregnant pause in the cauldron of transformation luxuriating in being here now in the present moment of this powerful portal of samhain when the veils between the realms are thinned with heart openings in the vast sky sea for us to enter and float in the river of re-membering beginning with this auspicious date… 11/1 which is a trinity of ones, a day when you can feel the communion of saints, the company of heaven, the bright and shining ones…

let’s take this now moment to conspire, to breathe together, to let go fully getting down to bare bones, shedding the skins of conditioning, simply breathing into now, this wild and precious moment of presence with nothing to do  and nowhere to go , simply be now here…

with our next breath, listen to the breath flowing through, animating us, expanding our being and feel the golden light of the cosm showering us, pouring in, hollowing in, flooding all the arteries and veins in the deep river below the river flowing within…

let us take one more breath together in the river of now re-joy-sing in the place where spirit lives, re-joy-sing in the space which is of love and light and peace and truth, re-joy-sing in the sun and moon and stars above,  re-joy-sing in the fire and earth and water and air, re-joy-sing in the river below, re-joy-sing in the center within, re-joy-sing in our recognizing ourselves in each other re-membering we are one, onederfilled heart…

namaste…

dancing in the dark
seeing spirit everywhere
 ancestors guide us home
~
on this very night, it is known to those initiated in great mysteries that both the souls of the trapped will be freed and that the inverse reality of souls serving the other side of the underworld will  come topside to create their own ability to remain amongst the world of the living… this gateway creates an opportunity to repent, clear karma, raise consciousness and return to love once more…

great homage is given to the ancestors who come and go through the making of potions and preparation of food made for both the living and for those loved ones who have passed and are unable to participate in the physical expression of ingesting the libation offerings…

the celebation of samhain, all hallows eve, all hollows eve and the energies of this profound portal  represent  the veils of consciousness thinning within us, our hollowing, hallowing and our ability to transcend darkness and density into light as we metaphorically bubble in the cauldron of transformation with the potions where we move from death to rebirth in a sangha field, true refuge in the rains’ deluge… sacred space built on compassion, generosity, harmony and lovingkindness with a mission to eradicate all suffering… in this place devoted to honoring the ancestors while serving all with every breath a practice of dharma, every breath an exhalation of love, we arrive and come home to our one heart living with all in harmony…

may we all breathe together… may we all breathe together more and more loving presence and more and more trust and more and more surrender into the creative process of love where we are all walking each other home into the heart of the present moment, the only moment, the all that is… may we all breathe together in perfect cosmic harmony where all is well eternally…

love, love, love from this night of the dark from whence we all come and will return…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 318 – 10/30/2019

the pacific northwest provides a perfect backdrop today for  the eve of all hallow’s eve, an ancient celtic fire festival  known as samhain, dia de muertos, howloween…  a season for leaping into the void and welcoming the oncoming darkness and accompanying reflection cycle while honoring the spirits now present during the thinning of veils between upper and lower worlds… yes, the pacific northwest serves as a perfect backdrop with her blustery winds and earth softened soil ready to receive divination and other worldly communications in this season of letting all fall away, of coming home to quintessence, coming home to the present moment, to the breath of eternal life…

when we surrender to this natural movement of our soul, we can and must bring forth pieces of the personal and collective shadow that need to come into the light for healing, evolving, becoming… yes to letting the hallows dance of life begin!

howlelujah!  we celebrate however you name this day as a witching hour calling for culling, releasing, co-creating changes in consciousness/weaving magic… in this liminal space, we prepare the nest for the birth of the new, a sacred space for us to be like shedding snakes or trees… shedding our old skins or leaves and resting in the dark while the fire turns to ash and is spread on the earth to germinate the new…

a day to reflect on what to die to, what to let go of as we embark on a journey of trust and surrender into the unknown… a day to connect with ancestors and the unchanging wisdom of the sages…

a day to dance in the dark, in great mystery… a day to surrender to the rhythm of eternity… in truth, there is no separation… no veils, no closed doors, no locked gates… today, let us release limitation and loosen the sail of imagination… let us valorously sally forth and stand unconditionally in a gathering of boundless love…

Poetic PEACE Pilgrimage – Year 6 – Day 317 – 10/29/2019

fifty-seven years ago on this very day, the cuban missle crisis came to an end with a collective sigh of relief that our better angels had prevailed, in deed, fear was reborn as courage, our one heart opened expansively…
~
today, as everyday, the astonishing light of interbeing presences our lives as we welcome this moment as openly as a hollow reed… bearing witness, mourning injustice of the world, take compassionate actions of waging peace and lovingkindness, returning to the cosmic rhythm of harmony, re-membering and celebrating our turning lead to gold…
~
Do not be daunted
by the enormity
of the world’s grief.
Do justly, now.
Love mercy, now.
Walk humbly, now.
You are not obligated
to complete the work,
but neither are you free
to abandon it.
~ The Talmud ~
~
let us perfume this moment of deep descent into the portal of transformation with
the ancient words of the ho’oponopono purification chant:
i’m so sorry
please forgive me
thank you
i love you
~
and now, may we rest in…
SWEET DARKNESS
When your eyes are tired
the world is tired also.
When your vision has gone
no part of the world can find you.
It’s time to go into the night
where the dark has eyes
to recognize its own.
It’s time to go into the dark
where the night has eyes
to recognize its own.
There you
can be sure
you are not beyond love.
The dark will make a home for you tonight.
The night
will give you a horizon
further than you can see.
You must learn one thing.
The world was made to be free in.
Give up all the other worlds
except the one to which you belong.
Sometimes it takes darkness and the sweet
confinement of your aloneness
to learn
anything or anyone
that does not bring you alive
is too small for you.
David Whyte
