Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 10 – Day 352- 12/3/2023

so much to welcome and celebrate in this sacred moment of eternity… we begin in song re-membering the greatest love of all is inside us and then send greetings and thanks to all our relations and call in the spirits followed by drumming in our intentions for this moment and for every moment…

we take 3 deep breaths and roll our shoulders back 3X to open our heart even more now that we are of one heartmind and invite our taking this sacred moment of eternity to gather and collect our attention and intention through the art of inquiry, asking repeatedly the same question ( a la A H Almaas) leaving empty space following the asking of each quest ion for us to listen deeply as our deep breaths through the core of our being take us more and more into the stillpoint, the great silence, the great cosmic womb, birthing circle of creation…

tell me a way you experience the deep radiance of the present moment…. thank you…

tell me a way you experience the deep radiance of the present moment…. thank you…

tell me a way you experience the deep radiance of the present moment…. thank you…

tell me a way you experience the deep radiance of the present moment…. thank you...

tell me a way you experience the deep radiance of the present moment…. thank you…

as we rest in the vast spaciousness of this moment, the only moment, may we look through the eyes of the astonishing light of our being embedded in the stillpoint of creation seeing the beauty and love and gratitude and wisdom and wonder before us behind us beside us below us above us encircling us in an ever-widening ring of compassion radiating out and in in rhythm with the breath

deep bows to all our relations…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 10 – Day 275- 9/17/2023

“All paths are the same, leading nowhere.”

~ Don Juan ~

today marks the twelfth anniversary of the occupy movement which inspired me three months later to occupy the abundance of infinite love and gratitude which opened such a beautiful camino where we saunter (walk on holy ground) deeper and deeper into the sacred grove to be one with our wise elders, the tree seers who vibrate at such a profound frequency of interconnection and innerconnection transporting us more and more profoundly into a communion of care resonating now here consciousness, sacred space for activating the inner marriage, the container, the tenemos for holding space for the opposites in the field out beyond where unconditional love guides the way…

yes, Don Juan, in this moment of eternity, i’ll be a broken record: all paths are the same for the journey is the destination, it is the process and not the outcome, the coming home to the heart is what it’s all about, this magical mystery tour, the buen camino, the good red road, this project of awakening, this being in the present moment, the now here…

may we all choose a path with heart, any path resonating as one with heart, follow it wholeheartedly and then rejoice and laugh knowing life will be over altogether too soon and if we choose not to listen and then sing our soul song there is a hole in the web of life…

and, may we all cultivate the feeling with every breath as we all travel this peaceful pathless path with heart of being open to the strength and support and peace of our ever more abundant cosmos generously gifting us whatever is needed…

om shanti, shanti, shantihi…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 10 – Day 268- 9/10/2023

today we celebrate the astonishing light of ourselves as a masterpeace of beloved community of all our pilgrim relations where we re-member we belong to each other as we walk the camino in unity…

pilgrimage of peace

a daily breathing practice

in rhythm with flow

~

and a:

pathless path of peace

creating a world of justice

guided by love

~

where we are:

flowing in beauty

being the soul of the space

wherever we are

~

and devoting ourselves to:

meeting each moment fully

meeting it as a friend

~

while always re-membering:

“in the end only three things matter: how much you loved,

how gently you lived and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you

~ Buddha ~

thank you dear friends for sharing this journey, this wandering into wonder… i’m going to close today’s spiral dance as i opened it over 3500 days ago with immortal Rumi’s words…

If you are seeking, seek us with joy
For we live in the kingdom of joy.
Do not give your heart to anything else
But to the love of those who are clear joy,
Do not stray into the neighborhood of despair.
For there are hopes: they are real, they exist –
Do not go in the direction of darkness –
I tell you: suns exist.

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 10 – Day 226 – 7/30/2023

“Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding,
the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated
as birdwings.”

~ Rumi ~

~

in this sacred moment of eternity on the eve of the eve of the full moon of revelation, i share this image representing the image that i am immersed in, that of the prophecy of the condor and eagle foretelling the revelation that we will return to a time of peace and harmony when these great birds of spirit fly together in balance rather than oppression and so here they are flying together painting peace across the vast rainbow skysea…

this prophecy speaks of a potential, it’s up to us to shift in consciousness which coincides with the transition of the great turning and the era of Pisces into Aquarius… we, the people living on the Earth right now, are the stewards of this transition – are we going to bring forth the potential towards harmony and balance, will we let our minds be in service to and fly with our hearts? every intention encompassing the timeless wisdom of the heart as our compass is a pulse in the web of life igniting others towards the same impulse of co-creating the 8th Fire, a new/ancient culture of spiritual transformation re-membering we are the children of the sun that never rises and never sets…

~

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 10 – Day 185 – 6/19/2023

today marks the second anniversary since President Joe Biden named Juneteenth a federal holiday in 2021… as more Americans celebrate Juneteenth with family and community, it is vital to share the important historical legacy behind Juneteenth and recognize the long struggle to make it an officially recognized holiday… it is an opportunity to honor our country’s second Independence Day and reflect on our shared history and future… the origins of Juneteenth date to June 1865; even though the Emancipation Proclamation was signed by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863 and the Confederate army surrendered to the Union army in April 1865, enslaved people in Texas—the westernmost Confederate state—could not exercise their freedom until June 19, 1865 when Union General Gordon Granger led some 2,000 Union troops, many of whom were Black, into Galveston Bay, where they announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in the state were free by executive decree... decades of collective action would follow as equality and justice for African-Americans advanced slowly, frustratingly, gradually, on our nation’s journey toward a more perfect union. on this Juneteenth, we re-member that struggle as we reflect on how far we’ve come as a country and how far we still have to go… the slaves of Galveston knew their freedom was only a first step, just as the bloodied foot soldiers who crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge 100 years later knew they had to keep marching and demanding…

formerly enslaved people immediately sought to reunify families, establish schools, run for political office, and even sue slaveholders for compensation… despite more than 200 years of enslavement, they demonstrated extraordinary courage and resilience as they transformed both their lives and their country… celebrated in family and church-centered gatherings, over time the holiday evolved to include annual pilgrimages to Galveston Bay by formerly enslaved individuals and their families…

over the decades, many advocated the establishment of Juneteenth as a national holiday… the Grandmother of Juneteenth, Opal Lee, was a driving force in this movement – in 2016, at the age of 89, she began a walk from her home in Fort Worth to Washington, D.C., to bring awareness to this important cause… trekking two and a half miles each morning and afternoon, a representation of the two and a half years Black Texans remained enslaved after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation, Lee soon had countless others who joined Lee on her march… the 1,400-mile walk concluded with a press conference that put Juneteenth on the nation’s radar…

this day stands as a testament to and celebration of the unyielding spirit of a people; it is a day for introspection, a platform for education, and a tribute to the monumental contributions of African Americans to the history of this nation… Juneteenth is a poignant reminder that oppressive systems can still be upheld, even after they’re formally dismantled… slavery ended on paper years before it ended in practice — and even then, anti-Blackness, white supremacy, and structural racism simply took on new forms, further entrenching themselves within our culture and systems…

Juneteenth is a time to recommit ourselves to the work that remains undone… we re-member that even in the darkest hours, there is cause to hope for tomorrow’s light… today, no matter our race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, we recommit ourselves to working to free modern-day slaves around the world and to honoring in our own time the efforts of those who wage liberation so diligently to steer our country truer to our highest ideals…

here we stand in this moment as we witness and participate in the rising tide demanding that America be the land of the free, demanding that justice for all be the law of the land, demanding that we start funding life re-membering we belong to each other rather than living under the delusion that we are separate leading to funding death and destruction and domination…

i woke up this morning with this old spiritual singing me… “woke up this morning with my mind on freedom”… may we all wake up with our mind on freedom for all, speaking truth to power and raising hell until we walk the talk of life, liberty and justice for all relatives…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 10 – Day 74 – 2/28/2023

blessing the space between us

as we journey into mystery

the pilgrimage to our one heart

~

how I love meeting you daily in the deep spaciousness of the river below the river of creativity where we come alive to the embodied knowing of love is all there is and where we celebrate a season of peace when we open our one heart, deeply listen and witness the unfolding of great mystery:

This is the bright home
in which I live,
this is where
I ask
my friends
to come,
this is where I want
to love all the things
it has taken me so long
to learn to love.

This is the temple
of my adult aloneness
and I belong
to that aloneness
as I belong to my life.

There is no house
like the house of belonging.

~ David Whyte ~

~

thank you for walking home with me to the home of belonging, the temple of alloneness … this moon as in month also brings an especially touching poignancy to the space between us as this journey into mystery, this pilgrimage into the tiny space of our one heart, the void, the sacred space of emptiness is such a deep dive into the stillpoint of creation…

surrendering to the beloved and trusting in the tenemos of great mother to support and nourish us, we summon the courage to leap into the unknown and relax into the organic, rhythmic flow of the mysterious dance of life…

holding hands in the dark, feeling the waves of our one beating heart, we witness the birth of the new, the promise of every inbreath followed by the re-joy-sing of every outbreath… for in our coming together in the sacred space of our cosmic heart, we change everything, we are transformation dancing to the tune of el canto hondo, the deep soul song… all is well for out in this river of creativity, we weave a world where peace prevails…

~

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 10 – Day 48 – 2/2/2023

On Imbolc (In the Belly) also known as St Brigid’s Day, Groundhog Day and Candlemas, we celebrate a day of pausing before walking through a door into the new, into the uncharted, the unknown… a moment of emptying to enter into silence to give attention and intention to what we choose to give our life energy to for all our relations…

i choose to be loving presence and to open the doors of our one heart wider to the ocean of compassion, moving from resistance to rezestance where we’re filled to overflowing with this moonth of omens and oracles heralding radical regenerativity which spirals us full circle to the little groundhog who sees his shadow portending more winter…

however, our friendly hedgehogs have a different experience portending spring around the corner… it all comes down to how you look at things, doesn’t it? we all have the ability to look at things clearly, to see the world as it is… oceanic oneness flooding our being with the preciousness of this wild and wonderful world and life…

as we celebrate midwinter in the northern hemisphere on  this day midway between winter soulstice and spring equinox, feel the goddess returning as goddess of the hearth with sacred flame to warm our one heart again…

~

on this gray day of midwinter

the cold has begun to fade

and the days grow longer

a time when earth is quickening

birthing the fire after darkness

now, goddess of the hearth returns with eternal flame

and as earth grows full of life, blessings resound…

may we all celebrate the abundance of new life

and the cascading prosperity of cosmic flow

as light and love  illuminate our path of heart

and return us to our home…

~

synchronistically, this day, 2-2-2023 vibrates at a frequency of the angelic realms, a turning of the wheel with the cycles of life onto another level, a consciousness co-created with the angels of lovingkindness and compassion, a consciousness of the heart…  welcome home!

~

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 9 – Day 259 – 9/1/2022

a heartmind like the sky

emptiness as vast as space

witnesses wonder

the sanskrit word for emptiness is shunyata while the chinese character is sky… both representations plus the image of hang gliding convey some of the experience of our true nature of emptiness…  the joyful freedom and liberation when we are empty of separation, weightiness, burdens and limitation… a state empty of suffering while grounded in boundless compassion for all relatives, a state sans borders and boundaries, as vast and expansive as the deep peace of the running wave flowing through the all that is… a state of flying into the great unknown, syncing/sinking/surrendering into emptiness which can feel disorienting especially when done wholeheartedly and it is that same whole-heartedness that saves, that orients, that aligns us with source…

welcome to spirited september where we align with the master sculpting force that chisels away the stone of illusion and expectation releasing the spirit held within to take flight and dive ever deeper into the peace passing all understanding, the peace found in the center of the medicine wheel…

re-member open sky

return to her, breathe and fly

our one heart inspirited

listen with me now to Thay inviting us to heaven on earth and deepening into the spirit of boundless love we are in each moment of eternity:

“Dear Mother Earth,

There are those of us who walk the Earth searching for a promised land, not realizing that you are the wondrous place we’ve been looking for our whole lives. You already are a wonderful and beautiful Kingdom of Heaven—the most beautiful planet in the solar system; the most beautiful place in the heavens. You are the Pure Land where countless buddhas and bodhisattvas of the past manifested, realized enlightenment, and taught the Dharma. I do not need to imagine a Pure Land of the Buddha to the west or a Kingdom of God above where I will go when I die. Heaven is here on Earth. The Kingdom of God is here and now. I don’t need to die to be in the Kingdom of God. In fact, I need to be very much alive. I can touch the Kingdom of God with every step. When I touch the present moment deeply in the historical dimension, I touch the kingdom; I touch the Pure Land; I touch the ultimate; and I touch eternity. In deep contact with the Earth and wonders of life, I touch my true nature. The exquisite orchid flower, the ray of sunshine, and even my own miraculous body—if they do not belong to the Kingdom of God, what does? Contemplating the Earth deeply, whether a floating cloud or a falling leaf, I can see the no-birth, no-death nature of reality. With you, dear Mother, we are carried into eternity. We have never been born and we will never die. Once we have realized this, we can then appreciate and enjoy life fully, no longer afraid of aging or death, nor caught in complexes about ourselves, nor yearning for things to be different than they are. We already are, and we already have, what we are looking for.

The Kingdom of Heaven exists, not outside of us, but within our very own hearts. Whether we’re able to touch the Kingdom of God or not at every step, depends on our way of looking, our way of listening, our way of walking. If my mind is calm and peaceful, then the very ground I’m walking on becomes a paradise.

There are those who say that in their heaven there is no suffering. But if there is no suffering, how can there be happiness? We need compost to grow flowers, and mud to grow lotuses. We need difficulties in order to arrive at realizations about them; enlightenment is always enlightenment about something.

Dear Mother, I promise to cultivate this way of looking. I promise to enjoy the practice of dwelling peacefully with mindfulness in the here and the now, so I can touch the Pure Land, the Kingdom of God, day and night. I promise that with every step I will touch eternity. With every step I will touch heaven here on Earth.”

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 9 – Day 243 – 8/16/2022

so much to honor and celebrate today on the 4th anniversary of the songbird known as the queen of soul, the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, child musical prodigy, civil rights activist, touchstone of  the times calling us, singing us into the core of being where love, beauty and truth abide, this extraordinary/ordinary being circling around the cosmos singing us home to our one heart…

more than ever, we need the truth and power of Aretha’s soul song… may we be inspired to walk the talk, to dance the soul song of r-e-s-p-e-c-t Aretha so beautifully emanated…

i still can’t re-member a time without her voice echoing in the background, thankfully, her voice echoes eternally…

synchronously, on awakening, i re-member a dream also of six years ago of being in a field where the Beloved Communion dwells and hearing that our mission is to sing… as on so many awakenings, a melody sings me as i luxuriate in this liminal space with one sole in dreamtime and the other in awaketime…

on this anniversary of the queen of soul dropping her body, are you hearing beloved singing you? listen a little deeper for the cosmic hum as you suspend noise and distraction in this moment, this beautiful moment… are you hearing the whispers of the ancestors flowing through our oceanic body? ah yes, let’s pause here in the stillpoint and align with the rhythm of our one heart…

may earth’s song reach into our deepest and wildest sacred spaces… may we hear the melodic voices of all our relations: stones, stars, streams, breezes, sand, sun, ocean, currents, plants, starfish, seas, planets, creatures, rivers, and winds… may our inhalations inspire re-joy-sing and our exhalations re-sound and re-verberate lovingkindness and harmony throughout the watery womb of our one heart…

sing, sing, wherever you are, a song of compassion blessing pachamama, the spirit of land, the spirit of life, the one spirit encircling all in the great web of life intricately interconnecting all our relatives as one body with trillions and trillions of cells resonating and harmoni-sing as we converge into one vast field of love…

Poetic Peace Pilgrimage – Year 9 – Day 90– 3/16/2022

welcome, well come to day 46 of a season of peace and to the day marking the 778th anniversary of the siege at MontségurFrance in the  the lands where Mary Magdalene carried out her ministry and the Holy Family / Essenes created the “New Bethlehem” after Yeshua’s resurrection… Montségur, the final stronghold of the Cathars during the Inquisition, was the sacred site where Roman soldiers searched for the Holy Grail and sought to destroy the last of the Cathars who were the spiritual initiates of Mary Magdalene and embodied teachings of lovingkindness and living in harmony with the land and another all of our relatives…

legend has it that on Wednesday, March 16, 1244, around 200 souls of Montségur who walked the way of love and refused to surrender their Cathar faith were burned en masse… some locals believe  that when the soldiers entered the space where the Cathars were captured, they had all dissappeared, perhaps ascending en masse…

let’s honor all brave souls who act in truth to power over by resounding the Cathar Creed as we imagine and be the New Jerusalem of peace conceived in love and lived in harmony, the sacred space always alive in the deepest core of the ground of being…

“It has no membership, save those who know they belong.

It has no rivals because it is non competitive.

It has no ambition – it seeks only to serve.

It knows no boundaries, for nationalisms are unloving.

It is not of itself because it seeks to enrich all groups and religions.

It acknowledges all great teachers of all the ages who have shown the truth of love.

Those who participate, practice the truth of love in all their being.

There is no walk of life or nationality that is a barrier.

Those who are, know.

It seeks not to teach, but to be, and by being, enriched.

It recognizes that the way we are may be the way of those around us because we are that way.

It recognizes the whole planet as a being of which we are a part.

It recognizes that the time has come for the supreme transmutation, the ultimate alchemical act of conscious change of the ego in to a voluntary return to the whole.

It does not proclaim itself with a loud voice, but in the subtle realms of loving.

It salutes all those in the past who have blazoned the path, but have paid the price.

It admits no hierarchy or structure, for no one is greater than another.

Its members shall know each other by their deeds and being, and by their eyes and by no other outward sign, save the fraternal embrace.

Each one will dedicate their life to the silent loving of their neighbour and environment, and the planet, will carry out their task, however exalted or humble.

It recognizes the supremacy of the great idea, which may only be accomplished if the human race practices the supremacy of love.

It has no reward to offer, either here or in the hereafter, save that of the ineffable joy of being and loving.

Each shall seek to advance the cause of understanding, doing good by stealth and teaching only by example.

They shall heal their neighbour, their community, our planet and living beings in whatever form they take.

They shall know no fear and feel no shame and their witness shall prevail over all odds.

It has no secret, no arcanum, no initiation, save that of true understanding of the power of love and that, if we want it to be so, the world will change, but only if we change.

All who belong, belong; they belong to the Church of Love.“

may we all journey along the path with heart deepening our connection to and alignment with source and our being one with beloved in this sacred moment of eternity, in every sacred moment of eternity…
